Kanga Care - Doctor Care at Seguin
Flu season is upon us and Kanga Care is here to help!
Don't worry! You did not miss the chance to sign up for Seguin's Kanga Care! Please come by the office and pick up a consent form! Students turning in a consent form will receive a special prize from Nurse Lisa!
WISD partners with Parker County Hospital District to provide on campus based doctor care. Dr. Welch provides care for many health care concerns. We are able to test for strep, flu, and mono on site with prescriptions sent directly to your pharmacy, if needed, and a school note emailed immediately to the school attendance clerk. No appointments are necessary for students present at school.
For any questions or concerns, please call Nurse Lisa at 817-598-2814.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Every minute Counts!
· School Starts at 7:40am and the final bell rings at 7:50am.
· Your student’s attendance directly affects their success and we want them to SUCCEED!
· 3 Parent Notes for excused absences will be accepted for each student per year.
· If your student has 10+ unexcused absences in a 6 month period, your case will be referred to attendance court.
· If your student has 18+ total absences, excused or unexcused, the attendance committee will review absences and create a program for credit recovery in order to prevent retention.
Dismissal
To better dismiss our students in a safe and organized manner, please do not ask for students to be dismissed between 3:00 and 3:20.
To ensure that all students arrive home safely, please call the office before 2:30 to make changes to transportation at dismissal.
