- March 12 will be an MCAS Security Training in the library after school for all staff, including paras (this was originally supposed to be a department meeting).
- March 19 will be an MCAS Technology Training in the library after school for all staff, including paras, except for the 9th grade experience teachers. 9th grade experience teachers will meet separately (Kirsti will send more information).
Signs of Suicide Training: Signs of Suicide for 9th graders has been postponed to to March 11, period 2.
Into the Woods Musical: The spring musical this year is Into the Woods – by Stephen Sondheim. It is a brilliant fantasy story made up of all sorts of fairy-tale characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother and the wolf, Jack and his magic beanstalk, Cinderella, Rapunzel and their respective Princes, and of course, the Witch. Come and see for yourself. It is high energy entertainment suitable for the whole family. The HRHS students have worked very hard on this show, and you will not want to miss it. One weekend only - Friday and Saturday March 15, and 16 at 7PM, and Sunday March 17 at 2PM. Tickets are available by calling 437-5587 to reserve by phone, or HRHStickets@gmail.com. They will also be sold at the door; $15 adults and $10 for children under 18 and all HRHS faculty and staff.
Musical Preview: We will be having the preview performance of our show -Into The Woods- on Tuesday morning, 3/12/19. The show has a cast and tech crew of about 42 students in grades 7 - 12. This is a Day 7, and the students will be missing all morning classes that day, blocks 1 - 4. You are invited to bring your classes to view the preview.
M.S. block 2 (period 1), and H.S. block 3 (period 2). Block 4 (period 3) will be for elementary schools. The cast and crew would eat during 3rd lunch.
Junior Achievement: If any staff is interested in being the advisor for Junior Achievement at HRHS, please let John Plourd know.
Student Connections Survey: Given the disrupted schedule of February, we understand that staff haven’t had a lot of time to complete the student connections survey. Because the faculty meetings did not last the full hour this week, please be sure to take the time to finish the survey by March 8.
Progress Reports: A notification will be sent to families that progress reports will be distributed this week. Families will be reminded that there were not many full instructional days in February, resulting in the potential for minimal assignments to be inputted for progress reports.
In Danger of Failing Letters: All in danger of failing letters should have gone out by now. If not, please be sure to complete them by the end of the week.
Third Floor COW and CALF: This will live in Laurel Christoferson’s room (shoutout for making that happen) and CALF will be in third floor guidance office starting Monday for sign out purposes.
Student School Committee Representative: Kristen is seeking a School Committee Student Representative from the class of 2021 (current sophomore) for the HRHS school committee. If you have a nomination, please let Kristen know by Friday, March 15. Also, Kristen is seeking a Worthington rep for the Worthington SC--grade doesn’t matter. Please send nominations to Kristen by Friday, March 15.
