A Special Thanksgiving Message

During this season of giving thanks, the FIS administrative team would like to thank our dedicated staff, our supportive families and community, and our hard-working students. We wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving next week. School will be dismissed at the regular time - 2:45 on Tuesday, November 26th. School is closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday from Wednesday, November 27th through Sunday, December 1st. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, December 2nd.

A Message from School Board Member, Susan Horn

Commissioner Schoonmaker and I have scheduled a joint Community Meeting on Tuesday, November 19th, at 6 o'clock at Farragut High School. Town of Farragut Vice-Mayor Louise Povlin will be in attendance. Parent and Community members are welcome to attend.

Bus Behavior

We need your help in reminding your child about appropriate bus behavior for the safety of all students. Proper bus behavior includes the following:

1. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

2. Keep the bus clean. No eating, drinking, or chewing gum allowed on the bus.

3. Keep your hands and head inside the bus.

4. Do not throw objects in or off the bus.

5. Possession and/or use of tobacco, alcohol, or drugs is prohibited in any form.

6. Parents will be fiscally responsible for any act of vandalism.

7. No loud, rude, abusive, or profane language.

8. Follow the bus driver's first request.

9. Ignore the inappropriate behavior of others.

10. Respect others' feelings, property, and space.

11. Stay in your seat at all times, facing forward.


Note: the bus driver is authorized to assign seats.

Coffee with the Counselor

The upcoming Coffee with the Counselor is on the topic of Anxiety. This meeting will take place on Friday (11-22-19) from 7:15-8:00 A.M. in the FIS Library. We hope that many of you can attend this informative session.

FIS Giving Tree

This week students are picking ornaments from the Giving Tree to provide gifts to another Farragut family this season. If you still need to turn in a permission slip for your child, it is attached. Unwrapped gifts are due back by December 6th. Thank you so much for your generosity!!!

FIS PTA Fun Run Results

The results are in!

Clothes for the Clinic

The FIS Clinic needs your help in getting some clothes for our students. They need:

  • Pants -Size youth medium, large, and extra-large.

If your child gets a change of clothes from the clinic, please wash and return as soon as you can.

Thank you for your help!

Lunchtime

Families, if you are coming to eat lunch with your child, please make sure you eat either in the cafeteria or outside at the picnic tables. We appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Online Payment Option

Paying for school fees just got easier! Families can now enroll, using the link below, to pay school related fees. Now all your fees, money for field trips, t-shirts, etc. - anything that we are collecting money for can be paid online and its very easy!
