A Message from Our Principal
Let us pray for those who are in harm’s way due to the wildfires in California.
Mark’s Gospel (MK 12:41-44) tells us that Jesus had a deep empathy or compassion for the poor. He understood that people who have less are often more generous with what they have than people who have a lot. We ask our God in Heaven to help us be more generous and to think more about giving than receiving. Open our hearts and our eyes so that we may see and respond to the needs of others.
Thanksgiving Holiday– November 19-23 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Open House – Sunday, December 2, 10am to 1pm Tell your friends, family, neighbors to “Come and See” what Holy Family is all about. We have changed our open house to coincide with the beginning of Advent (December 2). School will be decorated for the Advent season and singers and band members will perform. Students are encouraged to wear their HFCS formal uniforms to Mass the weekends of November 24 / 25, and December 1 / 2. We can help with greeting before and after Mass.
If your child / children attend, they may have a HFCS Spirit Day the Monday after these weekends. Let’s be a presence in our Parish.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
