Principal's Message
Stetson Families:
Happy 2022! I can't believe that we are currently in the middle of January already. Lots of activity going on this month. We are currently approaching the end of the marking period on January 28th. Course selection for next year will take place during the month of February. Students will be provided with information during Falcon Period to prepare them for choosing classes for the 22-23 school year. We will also have virtual meetings for our parents in the evening to understand this process. Please save the date for this parent meeting on February 1st for rising 6th and 7th graders.
Yesterday, during Falcon Period we completed an activity focusing on responsible decision making. Responsible decision-making is about the ability to make caring and constructive choices about how to behave as well as relevant social norms and safety concerns. The students were provided a framework and a compass to refer to when making their own decisions. In addition in science classes, students will participate in restorative practice circles. We believe that this is the first step of many in reshaping many behaviors we have seen this year in middle school. Thanks to all the students and staff that participated in these activities to help support the social/emotional and academic growth of our students.
On Monday, January 17th, we will observe Martin Luther King Jr.Day. This holiday is observed on the third Monday during the month of January in honor of the birth of Martin Luther King Jr. The day is set aside to honor the achievements of Martin Luther King, Jr., a Baptist minister and civil rights leader who advocated for nonviolent resistance against racial segregation.
Have a great long weekend,
Mrs. Puchalla

Dress Code Reminder
Please help us in reminding our students to follow our dress code policy. We have spoken to students this week about several violations. These include crop tops (mid-drift showing), pajama pants, slippers, and wearing hoods inside the school building. Students who continue to violate the dress code will receive a consequence of after-school detention.

Late Arrival Procedure
- Students are considered late to school after 8:05 am. Students are required to be in homeroom at this time. All late arrivals must check-in at the office/late table to receive a pass.
