Motor vehicles have lead the large-scale development of transportation in large cities. More than 95 percent of all trips within U.S. cities are made by car. While motor vehicles are important, in large cities withlimited space people are giving up cars and sticking with public transportation.

Development of Urban Transportation

People used to have to live close to each other so they could commmunicate, the only transportation a long time ago was walking. With the creation of cars, busses, planes, and subway systems, people are able to live wherever they want in the world and there's always a way to communicate and get to other people.
