Christmas Tradition

The tradition of the Elf on the Shelf

The History and Facts of The Elf on the Shelf

The Elf on the Shelf is a way parents make children be good and behave by making them think that the elf will tell Santa if they have been naughty or nice. The Elf on the Shelf comes with a hardbound picture book and a small soft toy in the form of a pixie scout elf. The elf would only visit children between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Then elf is for kids and is believed (by kids) to go to the North Pole, and every time it would move to a new place when it came back from the north Pole. But it can only do so when the elf is filled with Christmas magic. The only way for the elf to be filled with Christmas magic is if the family gives the elf a name. In the book it says if the elf is touched it’s Christmas magic would go away or the elf would disappear entirely. Below is an image of the book and then elf and a video.
