A Special Message to Parents

Dear Parents, this is a special week with semester assessments which are known as ACPs. The children have worked hard all year long and are more than ready. Please remember to send your children to bed early and encourage them each day to try their best!

Word of the Week-Excel

A common practice during morning announcements is to share the word of the week. Classes take turns to write the word of the week in their own words and then share it during morning announcements. The student body as well as staff are then challenged to use this word at least three times in one day. I am asking our parents and community to use the word of the week with our students as well. The word for this week is the verb to excel. I carefully chose this word for week 16 which is semester exam week. Excel means to do better than you usually do. Reach deeper and use every ounce of energy you got. What sets you apart from just doing what is expected, go beyond that. Give it all you got and excel! Yes, it is going to take a lot of work, it is hard to excel but it feels so good when you get there! If you can excel, then you got your "triple A" on, Adams Armadillo Awesomeness!
