Job Description:

A PA is a licensed medical professional who works under a physician. They are licensed to diagnose, and treat illness or disease. PA's have very advanced knowledge of general healthcare and medicine, allowing them to do multiple things such as perform physical exams, give medication, and aid a physician in surgery.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed by state
  • Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
  • Recertification every 10 years

Daily Activities:

  • Aiding the Physician
  • Diagnosing illness
  • Prescribe medication
  • Conduct Physical Exams

Education Requirements:

  • Four Year Degree
  • Qualify for PA program
  • 2 to 3 Years of PA Study - Rewards a Master's Degree
