Mickey Mouse Day
Everyone loves Mickey Mouse, right? If you love Mickey Mouse, then celebrate Mickey Mouse Day! It really is Mickey Mouse's birthday. Mickey Mouse was born on a train ride, when Walt Disney, with his wife Lillian, started sketching a cheerful little mouse created mostly of circles. Walt Disney named the little guy Mortimer Mouse but quickly changed the name to Mickey Mouse at the suggestion of his wife, Lillian, who suggested that Mortimer was too serious for such a sweet little mouse. Soon after arriving home, Walt Disney and his head animator went to work create Mickey Mouse cartoons and Mickey Mouse soon became a famous American icon. Mickey is an adorable little mouse who is in many books and TV shows. Even though he is mainly a 'little kid' character, almost everyone knows who he is! The TV show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse first came out in 2006, so it is very modern! Maybe Mickey Mouse isn't your most favorite Disney character, but he is a great model for everyone with his unique personality!
