Morning Coffee with the CCBC

July 13, 8:30-11:30 AM at CESA 3

Immerse yourself in books!

Join CESA 3 and the Southwest Wisconsin Library System as we welcome Merri Lindgren from the Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC). An essential resource for teachers and library professionals, the CCBC can help you stay informed about the newest outstanding books published for children and teenagers, and also help you identify great books on a wide range of topics to integrate into the curriculum.

Bring your favorite YA book to share!

Starting at 8:30, we do a fun book share activity to find some new summer reads. Merri will join us at 9:30 and spend the rest of the morning showcasing the newest "best of the best" books for children and young adults. We will wrap up before Noon.

Learn what the CCBC can do for you!

The Cooperative Children’s Book Center (CCBC) is a unique examination, study and research library of the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The CCBC’s noncirculating collections include current, retrospective and historical books published for children and young adults.

The CCBC supports teaching, learning and research related to children’s and young adult literature and provides informational and educational services based on its collections to students and faculty on the UW-Madison campus as well as librarians, teachers, child care providers, researchers and other adults throughout the state of Wisconsin.

A vital gathering place for books, ideas and expertise, the CCBC is committed to identifying excellent literature for children and adolescents and bringing this literature to the attention of those adults who have an academic, professional or career interest in connecting young readers with books.

There is no charge for this event.
