Highlights from October!
III.B.6. Child can produce a word that rhymes with a given word.
For the week of Nov. 11-Nov. 15 our children will be working on rhymes! Rhyming is important because it shows the children how language works. It helps them understand that words can share common sounds and common letters. For this guideline we will read the book "Monkey See, Monkey Do" by: Marc Gave and we will go over as a group and identify the words that rhyme. We will then work in partners to identify rhyming words in poems and individually we will work on our own rhyming book. The children will take their rhyming book home and will read it to you so please expect a bedtime story this week!
