TK/Kindergarten Orientation Meeting
Information for 2023-24 Incoming Families
Welcome to Carlton Avenue School
We will be hosting three orientation meetings for incoming TK/Kindergarten families. During the meeting, the principal, office staff, and health clerk will provide information on the registration process, the TK/Kindergarten program, and our onsite before/after-school care program. At the end of the presentations at school, we will take a brief tour of the campus, including short classroom visits.
This meeting is intended for new TK and Kindergarten students enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year. The in-person presentations will require attendees to pre-register by selecting a date and filling out the sign-up form below. There will also be an online orientation meeting in the evening.
What: Orientation Meeting Details
At the orientation meeting, you will learn all about our TK/Kinder program and why our students love to come to school each day. Orientation and tour will take approximately 1 hour.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow children to attend the meeting nor participate in the classroom visits. We will set aside time before the first day of school for our TK/Kindergarten students to visit their classrooms and meet their teachers. Please be sure to make the appropriate childcare arrangements on the day that you will be attending the orientation meeting.
All campus visitors are required to sign in at the office and present a valid driver's license or ID card for screening through our Raptor system. Arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the meeting to complete the screening process and the printing of a visitor badge.
WHEN: Dates and Times
We will be offering TK/Kindergarten orientation meetings on the following dates:
- Tuesday, December 13, 2022 @ 9:00 am
- Wednesday, January 11, 2023 @ 10:30 am (Note: This will be a multi-grade presentation and meeting) FULL
- Wednesday, January 18, 2023 @ 6:00pm via Zoom (Please note that this meeting will be held online.)
Orientation meetings will last approximately one hour.
How: Sign Up to Attend
Pre-registration is required to attend one of Carlton's orientation meetings. Since a portion of the tour includes brief classroom visits, space is limited to minimize disruption to student learning and allow time to answer questions.
Please select ONE meeting to attend and complete the pre-registration link. One week before your selected orientation meeting, you will receive a confirmation email with information about parking and checking in on the day of the orientation and tour.
We will also have a Zoom orientation meeting in the evening on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:00 pm for those who can not attend one of the other orientation meetings. To register for the evening orientation meeting, please use this Registration Link.
