1. Our Veterans’ Day Program was very moving! Thank you to all the men and women that have (and are) serving in our armed forces. Check out the pictures below.

2. It was so special for our students to have their grandparents visit them at lunchtime this week. Grandparents, parents, and other approved visitors are always welcome to have lunch with their student. Bring your ID with you and enter the main entrance.

3. Thank you for supporting our Book Fair. This was one of our largest grossing sales in Weston’s history! What’s GREAT about this is that ALL proceeds will be used in our library to benefit ALL of our Weston students! We will share our profit results once they have been finalized.

4. There is a School Board Meeting on November 12th @ GCJHS beginning at 7:00. This meeting will recognize students in the district who “Celebrate Excellence”.

5. We will have a GCSC Safety Symposium on November 14th. See flyer below for more details.

6. The Chocolate Sale was scheduled to end yesterday. Sales are going GREAT and we will extend the it through this weekend and have the final day on Monday the 12th. More information can be found below.

7. Christmas Assistance applications will be available from Mrs. Miller until November 16. Families, churches, or organizations who wish to sponsor a family in need should also contact Mrs. Miller.

8. Our Middle of the Year NWEA assessments will occur the first of December. Students will be able to ‘show their growth’ in Reading, Math, and Language Arts. There will BRAG TAGS and special recognition for those that meet or surpass their ‘Growth Goals’ and/or receive 90% or higher on any part of the assessment. Contact your teacher(s) if you want to learn more.

9. The Marines have delivered the Toys for Tots box to Weston. We will be collecting new & unwrapped toys until December 8 to give to families in need.
