Housekeeping
Congratulations to Alicia Reedy! She is now a fourth grade teacher AND our Social/Emotional Learning Coach.
Coffee Pot: Angel got a staff K-cup coffee pot. It is in the workroom. You are able to brew whatever you'd like. If you take a cup, please leave a quarter so we can replenish our stock.
Pop Passes: Please tell children they need to bring bottles and not cans in order to prevent spills
Attendance: Don’t forget to reach out to parents after 5 absences and email Cynthia so she can start the attendance policy progress.
Custodial Updates
We are going to pass a trophy each night from room to room, for the cleanest room. Who will be first? The new challenge begins on Monday!
Restrooms: We are having restrooms issues again: feces, urine, paper towel messes, graffiti...please have a student monitor when the whole class goes and reiterate our high expectations for respecting our wonderful school.
Tape on Floors: Please use painters tape as anything else will strip the wax.
The middle room floors will be waxed over Fall Break. Begin preparing.
Health and Wellness
Flu Shots
Health Heroes will be here again in October. Staff members can get a flu shot as well. Consent Form
Safety
- Please contact Jay if you are missing anything from your safety bag, including cards.
- Please make sure that staff are checking the hallways before having students exit the room for a fire alarm. This will allow staff to confirm that there is not an intruder who has pulled the alarm or that students are safe to exit to their traditional route.
- During the hide portion of a Run, Hide, Fight drill, please make sure your class is thoroughly barricading the classroom door.
- When requesting for student assistance, please state the student's first name and teacher (Jay from Pearson's class).
Think Central
Please contact Jay if you use ThinkCentral and need your class set up in that system.
