Wolverine Weekly
Sunday, June 5-Newsletter for the Wilder Community
Welcome to Week 37!
From the national news to local neighborhoods, we are seeing a surge in violence impacting young people, their families, and communities as a whole. Caring thoughts are no longer enough to heal our heavy hearts; it is time for a solutions-focused conversation. You are invited to join a team of school, county, public health, and law enforcement leaders for two special town hall meetings, “Together We’ll Heal: A Community Conversation for Peace.” A panel discussion will focus on the issues facing our community as well as available intervention and support resources. Attendees can be part of the conversation by submitting questions that will guide the discussion. Together We’ll Heal: A Community Conversation for Peace (In-Person Event) When: Monday, June 6, 6-7:30 p.m.* Where: Henrico High School 302 Azalea Ave. *Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with resource tables available for families. Together We’ll Heal: A Community Conversation for Peace (Virtual Town Hall) When: Wednesday, June 8, 5:30-7 p.m. Where: Tinyurl.com/bridgebuildersacademy. Please be in touch if you have any further questions or concerns. We are committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students!

Attendance
It is important that students attend school each day and arrive on time to ensure they are receiving all of their instruction. Please see below for important information regarding attendance.
· School starts at 8:05 each day. Students are considered tardy if they arrive at 8:30 or later.
· Notify the school by calling the front office at (804) 515-1100 if your child will be absent from school. If we are not notified of an absence, your child will be marked absent unexcused automatically.
· Our attendance team regularly monitors student attendance. Families of students with five or more unexcused absences will be required to meet to develop a support plan for attendance.
· If there is anything we can do to support your efforts in making sure your child is at school every day, please reach out to your child’s school counselor or our Family Advocate, Mrs. Clarke!
