91.1 WEDM "The Warrior Nation's Favorite Station"

For nearly 50 years, WEDM has been in operation to serve the Warren community. Students who take the class and operate the station have the opportunity to gain valuable experience while in the school setting. A few years ago WEDM started producing podcasts which are always available at Check out content any time and on our app as well as the audioboom app for podcasts. Lastly we are the sports voice of your warriors. Every football and basketball game we bring you all the action if you can't make it to the game. Tune in live to Warrior Football starting Friday, August 23. Pregame coverage begins at 6:45pm and kickoff will be at 7:00 pm. The 2019 - 2020 WEDM coverage is lead by Collin Echols (Sports Director) and Zoe Fisher (Program Director). We are "The Warrior Nation's Favorite Station".

WCC clubs participate in Warriors After Hours

Walker Career Center had several clubs represented at the Warriors After Hours event hosted by the Warren Central PTSA on Wednesday night. Thanks to their efforts, parents and students were able to learn more about all of things to do after school in Walker.

WCC ACADEMY OF COSMETOLOGY set to open on Saturday, August 17

The WCC Academy of Cosmetology is set to open on Saturday, August 17 from 8 am - 2 pm. Individuals are able to make appointments by calling 317-532-5617.

The Fashion and Textiles Career students get creative for Mrs. DeMoss with hands on experiences. By using paper, students were able to utilize their artistic skill set to construct dresses.

WCC Respect & Character Award Winner

Congratulations to Rick Ferguson on being named the August Respect and Character Award Winner for Walker Career Center. Rick has been at Walker Career Center for 15 years as the Welding instructor. At WCC, Rick is a major asset to the Walker community both in and out of the classroom. In addition to producing award winning welders, he is always welcoming teachers from all departments to come and learn from his teaching style. Congratulations Rick!
