Principal's Message

Dear Klein Cain Parents and Students,

I hope that the first few weeks of 2020 have been good to you and your family. Things here at Klein Cain have been busy, to say the least. We have had our students involved in so many things since we have returned from Winter Break and they are representing us so well! It is so refreshing to see our CAT 5 Core Values of Collaboration, Risk-Taking, Integrity, Passion and Problem-Solving come to life in the classrooms, on stage, in the pool, on the court, on the field and in various competitions.

The successes we have had since opening our doors in 2017 are solely due to the amazing leadership, dedication and passion exhibited by our students. They have not let the fact that we are a new school stop them at all! In fact, they are using that "underdog" title that has been placed upon us as a catalyst for amazing outcomes. As a parent myself, I can honestly say that when my son enters high school, if he acts, serves others, competes and carries himself with half the amount of integrity, character, passion, respect, self-confidence and dedication that our current Hurricanes possess, I will be one proud mom! Thank you for allowing your students to share their talents with us, and for allowing them to serve as some amazing role models for the future Hurricanes to come.

As I shared with my staff when we returned last week, the year 2020 is a milestone I have been excited about reaching since I was named principal in August of 2016. 2020 is OUR YEAR! We have our first-ever Senior class on campus this year, and with that comes so many more firsts for us! Senior Awards, Honor Graduate Ceremony, Prom, CAPE (Cain After Prom Extravaganza) and our first-ever HOMECOMING next Fall where we will celebrate our inaugural alumnae class returning home to their Hurricane family. Exciting things are happening here at Klein Cain this year!

The Spring Semester is always hectic and busy! Make sure that you stay up to date with all we have going on this semester. There is always something to do and always a chance for you to support the Klein Cain Hurricanes! Be sure to visit our Klein Cain website and follow our social media accounts to keep up with campus information and all of our Hurricane happenings! Additionally, you are always welcome to contact us at 832-375-8400, if you have any questions regarding any of this information.

Nicole Patin

Student-Led Professional Development

Several of our students came back to school one day early from winter break to lead professional development training sessions with our teachers! They taught us how to better serve our language learning students, how to make math and science more interactive and exciting, and how to build better relationships in the classroom. Not only did they work before and during their winter break, they came to school early and invested in their teachers so their teachers can better invest in them!

Thank you to these amazing students!
