Effects on Teens and How to Cope

When teens are dealing with their family members having cancer they can feel many different effects such as:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • anger
  • stress
  • unsettled feelings
  • family arguments
  • role changes


Some ways to help deal with these feelings is to:

  • go to family and individual counseling
  • communicate openly
  • take part in activities to relieve stress
  • ask for help
  • try to prioritize more
