Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. The Black Sea Coastal Lowlands cover the southern edges of the country. Ukraine is also bordered by the Sea of Azov. Major rivers include the Dnieper River, the Desna, Dniester, and Donets . Mountains also include the Carpathian and Crimean. The capital of Ukraine is Kiev but other major cities include Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odessa. Most people live in Kiev which has a population of 2797553. The average temperature in Kiev is a low of 18.2*F and a high of 77*F. Also, Kiev's head of local government, which is a mayor, is elected rather than appointed. The municipal government has greater latitude in local affairs than anywhere else in the Ukraine. Most Ukraine cities transport by trolleybus, tram, bus, and metro.
The Ukraine has a unitary state system of a Constitutional Republic and a semi-presidential system of republic. The current president is Petro Poroshenko and the Prime minister is Arseniy Yatsenyuk. their government is limited by their constitution. Conflict in the Ukraine is beginning to calm down because Russia is moving the war to Syria. They have similar rights and responsibilities compared to the US but they also have more human right violations than the US. Ukraine is part of the United Nations. The Ukraine has blocked all foreign aid except for the American Red Cross.
Ukraine uses money called Ukrainian hryvnia. 1 Ukrainian hryvnia is equal to .039 of the US dollar. Ukraine exports goods such as corn, iron, seed oils, and so forth. Ukraine Imports goods such as petroleum gas, citrus, gold, and so forth. Ukraine's GDP per capita is around 3,900 (last updated in 2013). I would consider the Ukraine to be poor compared to the US because the US's GDP per capita is 54,041.98.
