Continuing to be Safe!
Please remember to review COVID-19 safety guidelines with your child. Masks are required to be worn by staff and students upon arrival to campus, during all transitions, in classrooms when up and moving around, in hallways, at dismissal, and in classrooms when proper social distancing of at least 6ft. isn't possible. All students who wish to wear their masks even when social distancing is possible, may certainly do so. Thank you for reviewing these guidelines with your child.

Registration for Second Semester is Around the Corner!!!!
ATTENTION!!!!
Registration for ALL students for second semester is just around the corner! SDPC will be sending out information to ALL families about registering for the virtual academy and for F2F instruction. ALL parents will be asked to declare their intent for their child for the second semester of school so that staffing adjustments can be made to accommodate enrollment for both instructional settings. SDPC will communicate to parents how registration will take place for second semester in the beginning of November. All decisions will need to be made by Thanksgiving break. IF you have spoken to Ms. O'Neal or any other school employee about your desire for second semester, please know that you must still complete the registration link when it is emailed at the beginning of November to parents.
Some students may choose to return to F2F instruction for the second semester and others may choose to attend the Pickens County Virtual Academy(PCVA) for the second semester. As enrollments change and adjust for each instructional setting, each school will adjust cohorts as needed. As well, social distancing has been constant at 6ft this semester, but it is very possible that a large return of students to the DMS campus could result in face masks being worn in classes where 6ft of social distancing cannot be achieved.
If you have any questions about second semester options for your child, please feel free to contact Ms. O'Neal in our guidance department.
