A Message from the Principal
Dear Sheridan Families,
What a joyful day! The “snow” (more like frozen rain at times, but we are going with SNOW) set the stage for our winter music celebration complete with festive attire, the debut of our orchestra, and the sweetest voices filling the room! Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, siblings and special friends who came out on this chilly day to join us! If you would like to relive the magic, the recordings of the performances are linked below.

NEW PARENT OPPORTUNITY: SPARK Readers!
Have you been wanting more opportunities to get into your child’s classroom? Have you ever asked, “What else can I do to support a home/school connection?” This new opportunity is for YOU! We are introducing SPARK Readers! SPARK Readers was born out of interested parents wanting more opportunities to support student behavior and social emotional learning, APT’s history of supporting parent and school partnerships, and staff being eager to share in this partnership.
This exciting initiative is a great way to get involved in the classroom. Volunteers will read a pre-selected book within the theme of kindness and leadership then follow with a short discussion about the book with the students and teacher. Books and discussion points have been selected by our staff to support our learning goals. Volunteers will go through a brief orientation on January 17th, then attend one of the SPARK Readers events which will be held in February 10, March 24 and May 5. K-1 reads will be between 8:00-10:50am and Grades 2-4 will be 8:00-8:20am. To sign up, click HERE.
One more week for the Lost & Found:
Please claim your child’s belongings before we leave for Winter Break. Anything left past December 16 will be donated. Please see pictures posted on Instagram from Sheridan APT! And a gentle reminder moving forward to please LABEL coats/hats/sweatshirts/gloves/water bottles, etc. so we can return them to their owners.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Susan
