Cool Tech Tool: Kahoot!
Kahoot!
A Kahoot is a game-based assessment tool that consists of a collection of questions on specific topics. Questions are asked in real-time, to an unlimited number of “players”, creating a social, fun and game-like learning environment.
Kahoot is a great tool for formative assessment in the classroom. The quizzes are easy to create from scratch or you can browse and find games already created on many different topics. Students can create quizzes as well--allowing them to "quiz" each other on topics of study. Kahoot provides instant feedback for both teachers and students. It allows teachers the opportunities for on-the-spot instructional decision making, and it shows students instantly whether or not they are on track in relation to the content and their peers.
