Getting to the Interview

Successful résumés and cover letters for LGBTQ job-seekers

October 21 6PM - Marlboro College Graduate Center Brattleboro, VT

A recent Equal Rights Center study* found that better-qualified LGBTQ job-seekers are 23% less likely to be interviewed than non-LGBTQ people applying for the same position.

In this workshop we'll talk about and practice how to translate your story, skills, and passions into compelling résumés and cover letters.

We'll spend the first half of the workshop talking about tactics and skills to create successful résumés and cover letters, including any LGBTQ-specific questions folks have. We'll spend the last half actually working on your résumé and cover letter.

Bring your current résumé, a cover letter you have written, and a sample job description.
