Hammurabi's Code

Is it just or unjust?

What Is Hammurabi's Code

Hammurabi's Code is a organized list of laws that King Hammurabi created to keep everyone from fighting. It was divided into three parts. The three parts are fairness to the accused, fairness to the victim, and fairness and sercirty for society. But was it just?

Was Hammurabi's Code Just?

Everyone thought that Hammurabi's code had no flaws but it did. The rules were unfair and cruel to everyone.

For example, if a disabled child was born he/she would be killed! Also if a son hit his father, his hands would be cut off!

Another horrible rule was that if a docter had to do surgery to a free man with a bronze lancet and the man died, the docter's hands would be cut off.
