Hello, Parents!
It's been a jam-packed week at MDCA Elementary! It seriously seems like there's been something going on every night this week. I know everyone is ready for a weekend! I hope you all find time for rest, good food, and lots of snuggles with your little ones.
I want to thank those of you who came to Movin’ On Up! last Monday. It was great for the teachers to get to meet you and I hope you got some good information. As we move closer and closer to the end of the school year, we will have more information to give you regarding summer reading, uniform updates, and the annual adjustments to our school handbook so please watch your email and snail mail for those important updates.
We wrapped up the first week of MAP testing this week and will be ready to do the math portion starting Monday. I'm super excited to see how much they have grown and to use the information to put some supports in place early next year for those who need them. As soon as we have finished, your child’s teacher will have a report for you. It was so much fun to deliver testing incentives to each classroom. Each teacher has a mystery box in their rooms with prizes for our hardest working test-takers. The students are so excited to open their boxes when testing is finished!
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Mrs. Nichols
