Parent Teacher Conferences

We are so appreciative of the support that you provide to your students to help them be successful. We will be holding parent teacher conferences the week of Oct. 26 - 29. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we need to restructure conferences to have less individuals in the building. In light of this, priority will be given to those students who have low academic grades or behavior concerns. If your student is not described above, but you have other concerns, we ask that these concerns or questions be addressed through email or a phone call. Each teacher will be sending out a survey to those parents they would like to meet with to see when you are available for that week. A schedule will be created from the information provided and then will contact you via email with your scheduled time. These conferences will be by Zoom Or Face to Face. We are asking that parents let us know on the survey which style works best for you. After completing that schedule with the invites, the teacher will then open up the schedule for other parents. Teachers will send out an email giving more details. PLEASE know that you are welcome at any time to call or email teachers with any concerns.

Be HAPPY, Be BRAVE, Be Drug Free

Due COVID-19 and CDC guidelines and recommendations, we will NOT be having Halloween dress up, parades or parties. Because I know how much students look forward to this, we wanted to make that week as fun as we possible. So we have done a lot of brainstorming and this is what we have come up with.

Our Red Ribbon Week will be October 26th - 29th. Each day on this week we will have some fun activities and dress up opportunities.

Monday, Oct. 26~Sock-it to Drugs~ Crazy Sock Day~Wear fun and crazy Socks.

Tuesday, Oct 27~ Crazy Hair Day~Doing Drugs is crazy. Come with outrageous and crazy hairstyles.

Wednesday, Oct. 28~Dress your Best, Drugs don't Impress~Dress in your favorite dresses, slacks, dress shirts, or nicest clothes~Taylor Tigers are the BEST!

Thursday, Oct. 29~Tiger Pride: Stand up against Drugs!~Wear Taylor Shirts or School Colors to show your Tiger Pride

During this same week, we will be doing many fun activities with the theme "Be Happy, Be Brave, Be Drug Free" We will have our Tiger Pride Assembly, watch the movie "Brave", pass out bracelets, etc.

My hope is that families can understand our reasons why we are not doing Halloween this year and can support us in this decision. I really wished a lot of things could be different this year but unfortunately it is out of our control. But we look forward to a fun Red Ribbon Week.

You can pay online on Infinite Campus under Fees or come in to the front office and pay with cash/check.
