General Announcements
PTSA - We need you!
Do you have a passion for serving your student's school?
Do you want to be a part of helping EPMS have a great 2019-2020 school year?
Do you have some time to commit to helping EPMS continue being one of the best schools in Paulding County?
If you answered "yes" to the three questions above, we need you!
Advanced Classes
If you have any questions regarding our advanced course offerings, please contact Mrs. Kim Burford ( kburford@paulding.k12.ga.us ).
End-of-Year Assessments
Students who are enrolled in high school courses will begin their assessments tomorrow, and high school Spanish finals are also looming. The dates for EOCs and Spanish finals are listed above in Upcoming Events.
Any 8th Grade student who did not pass the ELA or Math Milestones will be given an opportunity to remediate and retake the assessment. Once we have been provided that information, students, along with their parents, who need to retake either of the assessments will be notified. The state and district policy requires 8th grade students to pass both assessments to be promoted to the 9th Grade.
Finally, all students will complete the 4th administration of the Reading Inventory beginning next week. The Reading Inventory (RI) will give us a final measure of students' literacy growth during the 2018-2019 school year. The dates for RI administration are also listed above.

Olympic Day Dates:

Things to Remember for Olympic Day:
1. In the event of rain, Olympics will be moved inside. We will not have a "rain day" in the event of inclement weather. Our PE staff has prepared indoor and outdoor activities, and they are prepared for any weather!
2. This is a great day for our students and teachers to relax and have some fun. However, normal school policies and procedures will be followed for all student behavior expectations and PE dress code.
3. Encourage your student to wear a hat, sunscreen, and drink plenty of water.
4. Concessions and drinks are available to purchase for participating students during Olympics.
