"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."
Hour of Code
We will not be able to devote much more time to this in school, but please see the video below and visit Code.Org for more information on how your child can learn computer programming on his/her own.
What Will We Be Learning This Week?
Math
Students will continue their study of fractions next week. They will be practicing comparing fractions, adding and subtracting fractions, and converting improper fractions to mixed numbers.
Students are expected to do Accelerated Math next week. Three objectives are due on Thursday afternoon.
Science
We will be finishing our unit on Electricity. Students have read an article titled: “Wired World”. It discusses the beginnings of the Internet and how its rapid growth affects young people around the world. Students did not have ample time this week to complete the questions that go with that article. They will be completing this activity next week.
Language Arts
We will be spending this week finishing various projects that we have been working on in class, including our guided reading books.
We will not have a spelling list this week.
