In modern day this could be shown when friends set up their friends on blind dates, nether person knows the other, this can be related to what is happening with Juliet. She doesn't know Paris, but is being forced to marry him.
Act 4, Scene 1
Act 1, scene 5
In this part of the play the audience sees that Romeo and Juliet are star-crossed lovers. Many movies have main characters that fit the role of star crossed lovers, one example is The Hunger Games. Peeta and Katniss are being forced to fight to the death, and only one of them can survive.
Act 2, Scene 5
Many parents want what is best for their children. When kids bring a boyfriend or girlfriend home, the parents might not agree with their decision to be in a relationship with that specific person. Juliet is hiding the fact that she will marry Romeo from her parents because she is afraid they might disagree or try and stop her. Juliet believes that there is no other way for her to happy.
