The Beginning
Bob Dylan was born Robert Allen Zimmerman in Duluth, Minnesota. He learned to play harmonica at age 10 and he was a self taught guitarist. Robert Zimmerman spent his early years listening to the radio, At first he listened to country and blues. Then he started listening to rock and roll. When he was in high school, he formed several bands.
Bigginning/Middle Career
Bob Dylan dropped out of college at the end of his first year to become a musician. He revitalized folk genre in the early 1960's. He made a gradual move from folk to rock and roll and he was inspired by "The Beatles". He created "Like a Rolling Stone" in 1965 and it reached #1 on Billboard Hot 100. Many people consider the lyrics of his songs as poetry.
Present Day and Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan lives on and he is 74 years old. He has been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has received an award from President Barack Hussein Obama.
