MISD Training for Blackboard--"Blackboard 101"

Have you been thinking about getting your class content online for your students? Are you ready to try an online blended classroom, or just want to post materials for your class in a secure, password protected environment? This class is for you! MOST/Blackboard is an online class management tool available to all Macomb County teachers that will allow you to post your assignments and resources and create interactive lessons. You will get an introduction to the MOST/Blackboard 9.1 system, learn how to upload assignments and materials, and pickup tips for basic blended class building. This class is targeted for beginning Blackboard users.

Intermediate Blackboard--"Blackboard 102"

If you are already using Macomb’s Blackboard 9.1 and you are ready to take content creation and online student engagement to the next level, this class is designed with you in mind. This class will dig more deeply into the collaborative and assessment options in Blackboard. Topics may include student and teacher collaboration through blogs, wikis, journals, and discussion boards; creating tests and quizzes in Blackboard; introduction to the Grade Center, Safe Assign, and rubric creation. If time permits, we will also explore additional topics as well.

Blackboard User Group VIRTUAL (online) meetings--FREE!


Are you a current user of MISD’s Blackboard 9.1 system? If so, you will want to register for Blackboard User Group meetings! Sign up for one or more. These meetings will take place online via Adobe Connect (you do not need a license to participate—only a secure internet connection). Each meeting will include the latest updates about the system, offer some tips and tricks, and give an opportunity for questions and answers in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. New topics will be discussed each meeting, so sign up for as many as you like.
