November 15 E-learning day
The first grade E-Learning activity that will count as our November 15th snow make-up day was emailed today, a hard copy was sent home, and it is pictured below. This assignment will take place outside of regular school hours and is due by Monday, December 10th. Your child may turn their completed work in earlier if they’d like. Completion of this work will be recorded as a day of attendance for each student.
I will be available by email at any time if you have specific questions.

Holiday Lunch
The Cardinal Café will be holding a Holiday Meal on Wednesday, Dec. 12th. The hot meal will be meat lasagna (with a veggie lasagna option), green beans, garlic toast, veggie pack, fresh fruit and iced fudge brownies. There will not be a second hot option on this day. Cold alternatives (PBJ, pizza pack and turkey sandwich) will be available. The green beans and veggie pack can be selected with any entrée option, not just the hot. The brownies come with a full meal deal purchase (with either hot or cold entrée selections).
Parents are welcome to contact the Café Manager if they have any allergy questions or concerns.
First Grade Snack
Snacks in First Grade
TCE teachers understand the importance of fueling both our students’ minds and bodies; therefore, first grade students may bring in snacks to be eaten mid-afternoon. However, due to allergy concerns, the following procedures must be followed:
· Snacks will NEVER be shared by other students.
· Snacks need to be brought to school with the child. If snacks are forgotten at home, parents should not bring the snack to school. If your child forgets their snack, a school-approved snack will be offered to your child.
Snack List:
- Goldfish crackers
- Cheese
- SkinnyPop Popcorn
- Fresh fruit
- Dried fruit
- Veggies – NO DIPS
Volunteers & Lunch Guests
This year all volunteers must have a current background check on file AND watch the anti-bullying webinar before volunteering at school. If your current background check has expired (background checks remain good for 3 years) or you are new to the district, you will need to click on the link below:
https://secure.safevisitorsolutions.com/Safe/Volunteer/SV3109V
You can access the anti-bullying training simply by watching a video also on the link. Make sure to do the online survey at the end to verify you watched the video. As always, call the TCE office with any questions. Thanks!
*Please note that the background check and anti-bullying training is required in order to eat lunch with your child. Lunch guests are welcome after Labor Day . Please call the front office by 9:30 am on the day you’d like to eat with your child to reserve a spot.
