Winning and Losing
I had been leading and going into the Super Bowl I was winning - much to my families dismay; some even accused me of 'cheating'! Unless I can tell the future, I am really not sure how I could cheat....I gave my predictions before each game started like everyone else.
I always did my research - seeing what Caesar's Palace and ESPN analysts were saying. Then a few times I would go opposite what a family member predicted hoping it would pay off and it usually did!
I share this to say - a lot of people believe there are winners and losers in things, games or life events. I think that is too narrow a focus. I like to think that when I have 'lost' I have also grown and will perform better, think better or act better in the future. And by the same token, just because I have 'won' does not mean I am done - a winner must keep working hard to recreate their win.
With kids, there is definitely no winning and losing - but a battle each and every day to ensure they are growing both educationally and personally.

special board meeting
Last Monday night, a facility meeting was held in the Board Room. Sixteen people were in attendance – 14 of which were new members.
This committee reached the same conclusion as the first and will be asking the Board of Trustees to consider calling a May 2023 Bond Election at the Special Meeting on Wednesday.
If called by the Board, the original and newer facility committees will begin working together as a PAC (Political Action Committee) in support of passing the bond.
