The Story of Mamie "Peanut" Johnson
Mama never mentioned it, but I'm sure I must have been born with a baseball in my hand. We didn't win every game I pitched, but we sure won our share. This was the Negro World Series in Kansas City. I had posted a 33 and 8 overall win record and a respectable batting average of .262 to .284. I went to North Carolina A & T and in a few years graduated and put a new uniform on as a Registered Nurse. She was a determined girl playing baseball as a pitcher in the Professional Baseball League. She is a girl playing baseball this shows she is a determined person and doesn't care what people think of her. "The next thing is, don't throw it directly over the plate. You want it to break to the outside." I liked this book because it was about the sport baseball
