Why was Father Andy wearing red?

During Mass, students learned that Father Andy wore red for today's celebration in remembrance of the martyrs of our faith. He explained that a martyr is a person who believes so strongly in something that he or she gives his or her life as a witness. Though we are sad when we lose someone, we are to be grateful for the martyr's bravery and humility. We honor their sacrifice by remembering them and living in God's grace. We are all blessed to be able to live out our daily life with God at our side. Being able to speak about our faith and practice our faith each day is a true gift. God bless our school and the martyrs who gave us wisdom and grace to follow.

Thank a SFdN Teacher Tomorrow!

A simple note, a nice comment, or a "thanks!" goes a long way. Our teachers are the unsung heroes who give from their hearts to support our children. Let your child's teacher know you appreciate their talents and sharing them with our school community!
