Amendment 13
Abolition of Slavery
This amendment basically terminated (abolished) slavery. It was ratified December 6,1865 after the Civil War. This amendment states that no one person or a group will be enslaved or be subjected to one more powerful against than them. Unless one is being punished for something unjustified or for a crime that they have committed. The amendment says that no one can be enslaved unless they have committed a crime and they will live within the United States or wherever the jurisdiction may be.
