SLCS District Update
10.28.2021
Note from the Superintendent
Greetings SLCS Families and Staff Members!
As a reminder, there is no school for our students on Tuesday, November 2nd. We hope the students enjoy the day and take the opportunity to recharge for the final stretch until our Thanksgiving Break which begins on November 24th.
Throughout the school year, a few days are designated for staff learning and record keeping. November 2nd is one of those days for many of the staff members. These days are important as they allow our team to come together across buildings to benefit from the experience and expertise of others. We are grateful to our community for their support on these days.
This Tuesday, the schools are spending several hours participating in continuous improvement learning. For the balance of the day, our staff is learning alongside the team from Celebrate Hope on the topic of social emotional intelligence. Celebrate Hope is also hosting a second parent event later in November. Details are included further down in this communication. You did not need to attend the first parent event in order to attend the second. We encourage all families to consider signing up to attend either virtually or in-person.
SLCS Proud!
