No Place For Hate
The week of January 21st-25th, we will kick off our 2020 No Place For Hate Campaign. As part of our Affective Education program, ESE invites all students to participate in “Be the Change Week.” Our goal is to further develop positive connections, respect, understanding and tolerance on campus while reducing the incidences of teasing, social aggression and bullying. Be the Change Week, January 21st-25th, strives to bring about positive change for social interactions on our campus. Throughout the week, students will be engaged in a variety of activities that will foster a safe, positive environment for ALL students at ESE.
The No Place for Hate program is geared toward giving students an opportunity to understand the damaging impact that bullying and injustice have on individuals as well as the social fabric of schools. My hope is to rally our ESE community around the goal of stopping all forms of bias and bullying as well as fostering a culture of respect and learning.
ESE will be celebrating the No Place for Hate message through school-wide activities all week long. Thanks in advance for your support. We want our message to be something that makes our students aware and proud. ESE is No Place for Hate!

Flu Information
The flu report from the county is reporting high levels of influenza-like-illness. You can help keep the students in our district well and ready to learn by keeping your child home for the following:
- Temperature of 100 degrees or above. They should not return to school until fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever- reducing medication.
- Vomiting and/or diarrhea the evening prior to school or the morning of school.
- If your student has been diagnosed with Strep throat or pink eye, they need to stay home for 24 hours from the 1st dose of antibiotic and until any fever has subsided.
- Cough drops are not allowed at school. If a cough is significant of course they need to be seen by a doctor and/or if we need to do cough medication here at school that is an option as well.
