"It is time to make plans for summer fun! And the Gatesville ISD Community Outreach program is giving away free bicycles on May 4th. To be in the running for the free bicycles, have no more than three absences and no discipline referrals for the second semester.
On May 4th from 4:30-7pm at Gatesville Elementary over 25 organizations will be set-up to showcase their summer fun: water parks, Parks & Wildlife, parks & recreation, museums, urban recreation, BLORA, resorts, vacation bible schools and sports camps. Come out and see what Gatesville and our neighbors have to offer for summer fun.
Also on the Elementary campus there will be a bicycle rodeo, free bike helmets, food trucks, organizations showcasing summer fun, and the bicycle give away for good attendance and behavior. You have to be present to win!"

Saturday School
Gatesville Intermediate offers Saturday School sessions on select dates to allow you to make-up state attendance requirements. These sessions are not mandatory, but do help to earn back time missed. Due to Texas Attendance Laws, absence counts over 17 days per school year would require Saturday School attendance. Students identified to be or in near deficit of the Texas Attendance Law will be notified by the school.
