Park Terrace Elementary
February 16, 2022 Newsletter
Greetings Park Terrace Elementary!
These three school days sure have gone fast! As an important reminder, please note that there is no school tomorrow, Friday and Monday. Students will return to school on Tuesday February 22.
Upon the return to school there will be a change in our guidelines for wearing face masks at school. Effective Tuesday February 22, face masks will be strongly recommended but no longer required at Park Terrace Elementary.
We continue to see declining COVID-19 activity and have been working through just a handful of requests from families to change learning models – to in-person or to online. As communicated last week, because of the low number of requests and because our COVID-19 absences are at a low 3 percent we are able to implement the revised Face Mask Decision-Making Guide early. We will continue to monitor COVID activity and respond as needed in alignment with the guidance that is in place.
Please remember that students are still required to wear masks whenever on a bus per federal guidelines. Please continue to send your student on the bus with a mask.
Next week, the Panther Foundation is leading a spirit week and week of giving. There’s fun planned for all including four days of spirit wear (see the Panther Foundation section for more details). And of course, the week concludes with a Panther party. Hope to see a white out on Tuesday when we return to school!
Have a great long weekend, Panthers!
Sincerely,
Mona Perkins
Principal
