News from Winfield Elementary: 4.7.23
From the Principals, Mrs. Alonzo & Mrs. Hall
Dear Winfield Families,
Can you believe that we are in the final stretch of the school year? Returning from Spring Break reminds us that our remaining days are numbered...but that each one is vitally important! Thank you for continuing to make student attendance a priority as we complete the 2022-2023 school year.
If you have questions or concerns about your child's progress, it isn't too late to reach out to your child's teacher or team. The final 35 school days present over 200 hours of learning that is yet to occur. In early May, we will take our final NWEA assessment in Reading and Math that will help us reflect on student progress and plan for next year. If your student currently receives Tier 2 or Tier 3 RTI services, or has an IEP with academic needs, he/she will be invited to attend our summer learning session in June. Additional students may be invited after review of the end-of-year assessments. Please look for additional information to be shared in the coming weeks.
The last seven weeks of school will bring many activities and programs to our school. Please be sure to follow your classroom communication, ParentSquare, and our Facebook page for the latest information. As always, the office is open daily from 7:30-4:30 pm to help meet any needs you may have. Please give us a call!

Lost and Found
The Winfield Elementary Lost and Found is once again overflowing with jackets, sweatshirts, and water bottles. Please have your student check for any missing items. You are welcome to call the office if you are looking for something in particular. Please ALWAYS LABEL EVERYTHING that your child can take off or set down. We check for names to return to students! All leftover items will be donated to May 26th.
