Principal Post

Thanks to the DuJardin PTO for sponsoring Holiday Magic where students can shop for gifts for family members. Students enjoy this annual event and the chance to purchase gifts for others. Tis the season of giving!


Thanks to the DuJardin Student Council, Mrs. Lents and Mrs. Burritt for sponsoring Fruit with Family on Wednesday morning. What a great turnout and a terrific way to start the day! An awesome time was had by all who attended. Looking forward to seeing you at the next Fruit with Family in the spring.


Students will begin their winter vacation Monday, December 24th through Friday, January 4th . School will resume on Monday, January 7th . Please remind your son/daughter to bring home clothing items, needed class materials, and their winter gear. Please remind your child not to leave any food items in school and to clean out their locker/desk.

Early Dismissal

Wednesday, December 19th is early Dismissal for Grades 1-5


School is out at 1:40 pm


PM Kindergarten will be in session

MAP Testing

Students grades 1 - 5 will be taking the MAP test the weeks of December 3rd through December 21st.

DJ Madness - 2019 Talent Show

We will be holding our 2019 Talent Show on Thursday, March 21, 2019


We are looking for a variety of performers ranging from actors, singers, dancers, cheerleaders, musicians, comedians and more!


See the attached information sheet and permission slip.


All permission slips, lyrics and music must be turned in to Mrs. Lents by Friday, January 11, 2019


Music must be a shared file, flash drive, or CD.

YOUTUBE videos are NOT acceptable


There are NO EXCEPTIONS for late materials

Please Note: This survey is NOT a component of the 5Essentials Organizing Schools for Improvement Survey. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about your child’s school. Please consider your child’s current experience at school (i.e., 2018-2019 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.

All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from your child's school and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to discontinue participation at any point.

If you have more than one (1) child, you may elect to participate multiple times.

Toys for Tots

DuJardin Student Council is collecting toys for "Toys for Tots"


Marine Corps Reserve have been delivering toys since 1947

To date -548 Million Toys Delivered / 251 Million Children Supported


Please considering donating a new / unwrapped toy


We will be collecting toys through Friday, December 14th

and can be placed in the boxes we have in our lobby

Giving Tree at DuJardin School

Our annual Giving Tree is beginning to be decorated with new mittens, gloves and hats. How exciting! Items donated will be given to the Bloomingdale Township office to help the less fortunate this winter season. Donations can be made up until December 14th.

Lake Park High School 2019 Summer Theatre Camp

The Lake Park Theatre Department is excited to announce its 2019 Summer Theatre Camp Production Shrek! We are offering this opportunity to your incoming 5th through 8th graders on July 8th - July 18th.

The Bloomingdale Public Library is offering a new program called Sensory Time. This program is for special needs children. Please see this flyer for more information and how to register.

Holiday Party

The Holiday Party will take place on Friday, December 21th from 2:00 to 3:00. Only 6 room parents are allowed in each classroom. This includes the room captain.


Holiday party receipts may be turned into the PTO to the attention of Mrs. Jill Shannon for reimbursement.

Birthday Sign

Want a fun way to say “Happy Birthday” to your child or a staff member?


How about having your birthday wishes on the DuJardin school digital sign!


How: Print out this form, complete the correct information below and return it to DuJardin by the 20th of the month before their birthday month. (For example, a November birthday should return the form by October 20th)


Cost: a suggested $5 minimum donation to the DuJardin PTO


Why: Your child or staff member will be surprised and excited to see her/his birthday announced for one week in lights during their birthday month!

Metra Safety Essay Contest

Metra is having their annual safety essay contest. This year's theme is "Use Your Senses".

The deadline for entries is Thursday, January 31, 2019
