Stay Tuned in!
Welcome to a new school year!
I am very excited and looking forward to the start of the 2020 school year. We have gotten a great start on the new year, working through the month of June. Our building is being pressure washed and painted and the floors look amazing. School will be closed the first week of July and then we will continue where we left off. If you ordered your supplies on line, we will be distributing them to the students through administration. If you purchased your own supplies feel free to bring supplies you purchased to the Meet the Teacher day, so that you can help your student carry them to the classroom. Enjoy the rest of your summer and I can't wait to see everyone in a few short weeks.

Important Information
Middle school students who do not have a sibling in elementary school, may be dropped off starting at 8:00 AM. If a middle school student does not have a sibling in elementary school, they may not be dropped off before that time. If they are dropped off earlier than 8:00 AM, the families may have a charge to their account. Middle school instruction starts at 8:30 and it is bell to bell instruction until 3:15 PM.
Service Hours
Families can also earn their hours for next year starting in July as well. We have several opportunities available such as, moving classroom supplies, painting, and other campus organizational duties.
Attendance
If a student needs to leave early, they must be picked up by 1:45 PM. and signed out at the office.
In addition, when scheduling doctor's and dentist's appointments, please keep in mind the early dismissal procedure.
iUniforms
Students need to wear a uniform every day. Please don't forget to purchase a sweater or jacket as well for the cold mornings in the fall and winter. Please come to Business Day and have your student sized by the iUniform staff. They will be at school on 7/18/19 from 8 AM until 4 PM
SLA Lunch Program
If you have not already done so, please apply for your free and reduced lunch. Families need to reapply each school year. You will find the link on our website.
FSA Score Reports
I would like to add that we did have 100% proficiency in Biology, Algebra, and Geometry. Congratulations to those students who were in those classes. We also had 77% proficiency for 7th grade Civics, this is a huge increase from last year's proficiency level. We are very proud of all of our students and look forward to sharing individual reports as soon as they are available.
i-Ready Usage
New students, will receive a username and password within the first few weeks of school.
Administrative Changes
We also will be transitioning Mr. Victor Ospina as our new Director of School Operations. He will be transferring from our PBG campus, where he has worked since that campus opened its doors. We wish Mr. Watts nothing but the best as he pursues a new opportunity.
