Reminders about events:
*The 100th Day of 1st grade actually falls on the 30th because of our recent snow day. Unfortunately, that is a training day for me for curriculum. Because of this slight dilemma, the students and I decided to celebrate a couple of days later on the 1st of February. This doesn't mean anything for you, we just have a lot of fun little things planned for class that day and I wanted to make you aware!
*Next Wednesday we are going to have a Hot Cocoa Day. I like to do this during the blahs of winter each year just to do something different. We will incorporate measurement, reading, writing, and science into our day all centered around that yummy treat! If you want to send in some hot cocoa (packets or a container - both work) or marshmallows for the class to enjoy, just send it with your kiddo. The students have NO IDEA we are doing this, but you are welcome to share. Thanks!
*We have scheduled our field trip for May 21st - please stay tuned for more information about that event!
*Finally - see the information below about helping support Special Olympics and the Polar Plunge in our district next week!
