The Great Fire
By: Cade Bingham
What is the main subject of the text?
The main subject of The Great Fire is a enormous fire that destroyed most of the city of Chicago, Illinois.
Why was this an important issue?
This was all an important issue because it killed and took most homes/things away from people.
What caused this issue?
It was said to be all started by a cow kicking over a lamp which then caught a small barn on fire which started to spread through the city.
What were some effects/how was it was resolved?
It was all resolved by the work of firefighters but was all put out by one night when it all the sudden started to rain.
Would you recommend this book? Why or why not?
No, i do not recommend this book. It has unwanted detail and doesn't talk about the fire as much as it should. It mostly talks about what the people were doing and thinking. If you wanted to know more about this subject I would use google and the internet and not this book.
