St. Columba Catholic School - News every Friday - 4/23/21

St. Columba Families,

Another great week in the books! It was great to go into classrooms this week and see our students so engaged and excited to be learning! The amount of growth our students have made this year has been phenomenal. While our kids are feeling more and more ready for the next grade, we still have a lot of great learning to happen this year.

As a final measure of seeing how much growth our students have made this year, over the next couple of weeks during their technology periods, our students will be taking their final STAR Assessments of the year. These will be good indicators of what progress has made and will allow us to make plans to target some skills to finish out the year.

Additionally, this upcoming Friday is the halfway point of our 4th quarter. Please be sure to check in on our child's grades to ensure that they can finish the school year as best as they can.

I am looking forward to our Gala that is just a week away! It is going to be a great evening of supporting our school! As a reminder, Monday is the last day to RSVP! We hope to have great participation both in person and from home!

Here is a look ahead at the upcoming events on campus:

  • Monday, April 26: Last Day to RSVP for the Gala
  • Tuesday, April 27:
  • Wednesday, April 28:
  • Thursday, April 29: Pre-K Graduation Photos
  • Friday, April 30: 1/2 Point of Quarter 4
  • Saturday, May 1: St. Columba Gala (6pm)

Blessings,

Mr. Amann

Outdoor Heaters Needed

If you own an outdoor, propane-powered heater, please consider letting the school borrow it for the Gala.

Our Gala is outdoors and we have been having some cooler evenings, so it is our hope to have about 20 outdoor heaters available to make the evening more enjoyable on Saturday.

If you have an outdoor heater and can let the school borrow it next week, please reach out to Mr. Amann as soon as possible. The amount of heaters we can borrow will impact how many we will need to rent.

Thank you in advance!
