Career Exo 2023
Last week, Shelton High School conducted a Career Expo that provides a career fair experience for high school students. There were over 50 booths that represented all six Career & Technical Education program areas: Agriculture, Business & Marketing, Family & Consumer Science, Health Science, Skilled & Technical, and STEM. Part of the expo included 21 break-out sessions where students engaged with industry partners to learn more about different fields of work.
Thank you to the Shelton community and beyond for your massive support!

Active Duty USMC Promotion Ceremony
Recently, the NJROTC program had the opportunity to conduct a promotion ceremony for their very own community business partner, SSGT Salazar, who personally requested he be promoted in their classroom. This is not something the cadets see every day. SSGT Salazar has been an amazing mentor spending many hours in the classroom, at community events and physical fitness.
During the promotion ceremony, LtCol Harwell did the oath and "pinned" the next higher rank - Gunnery Sergeant. Lance Corporal Buechel-John, a former 4-year cadet and SHS graduate who was recruited by SSGT Salazar, took leave to help pin on the promotion. Cadet Ensign Constantino, Unit CO, read the certificate.
