Greek and Roman Contributions

Criteria
The following presentation will include 8 Greek and Roman Contributions (Four Greek and Four Roman.) They will include a picture for each contribution (must be from my house.) And how it was used then and how it was used now. First I will present to you Roman contributions then following that Greek contributions.
Roman Contributions
Roman Domes
The Roman dome was the first structure in a circular form. It was was used for artistic roofs back then. Now we use it for many building stuctures.
Concrete Roads
The Romans were the invetors of the concrete road. Back then they used it for transportation puposes. To this day we still do. This would fall under the theme architecture. The p
Aqueducts
The Romans invented the aqueducts. This is a underground system of pipes to transport water. Back then they used it to transport water to citys for toilets,sinks etc. Now we still use aqudeucts for the same thing.
Bound Books
The Romans invented bound books. They did this by stacking paper trying to make a notebook. Later on it became popular with selling bibles. We still read bound books today as they did back then. The theme this would fall under is literature.
Greek Contributions
Greek Columns
The first contribution is Greek columns made from the Dorians of Sparta. This therefore is a Greek contribution. Back then it was used for support of buildings in an artistic way. Now it is used in many buildings and homes through the world. It still has the same purpose as backn then. This contribution is under the theme architecture.
Greek Pottery
The second contribution is Greek pottery was crafted directly from red clay tell stories. This is a Greek contribution because of that. Back then it was used for stories, events,etc. Now it is used for decoration. This contribution is under the theme art.
Alarm Clock
The third contribution is the alarm clock which was timed and set off with water organs or pebbles into drums. This is a Greek contribution. Back then it was used to to tell people time consumed and to wake up etc. Now it is used for the same purpose. The theme it falls under is math and science.
Greek Water Mill
The Greek water mill was invented for philsophy and water extraction tests with less labor. This is a Greek contribution. Back then it was used to use flowing water as a power source. To this day it is used the same way. This is under the theme math and science.
