CCS Tech Update #2

Tech sharing - quarter 2

Resources are available and being updated by Stacia and Pat

In the elementary school, IT resources are being shared via Google Classroom. If you did not accept your invitation, please talk to Stacia!

In the MS and HS, folders have been shared (Instructional Tech Resources) via Google Drive by Pat. The folder is being updated throughout the year. Thank you to colleagues who have shared resources to be added to the folder. Peruse at your leisure.

Lisa Meade gave our building a goal of sharing at least one tech tool that we all use in our classrooms before Christmas Break. I compiled the sites, tools and photos into a document in a new (Free) tool called CLIPTOMIZE! Click on the link to see tech in action at CMS!

(And check out cliptomize as a great tool to use with students!!)

A big shout out to Shane Griffin for tech use with our K-5 students!

Shane has begun using an interactive website with our elementary students to monitor their health and fitness.

The log in is now on the home page (under students) on our website so they can access it at home.

Mr. Reynolds brings India to the HS Life Skills Class (via Skype)!

In support of the Global Studies curriculum, Morgan Reynolds facilitated a MYSTERY SKYPE call that required students to use problem solving skills to discover that the call was coming from Kavali, India, along the banks of the Bay of Bengal. Students were able to deepen their understanding of Indian customs and culture.
